Strategic Peak Marketing Agency was founded by Sanetra Payne, a Washington, DC-area marketing and events strategist with over 15 years of experience leading some of the largest event and marketing programs in the association world. Today, she partners with associations whose shows bring in $50M+ and whose marketing teams are a lot smaller than their goals.

At the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), Sanetra was promoted four times and became the marketing lead for the NAHB International Builders' Show (IBS), a $50M+ tradeshow with 70,000+ attendees from 100+ countries, 1,200+ exhibitors, and 200+ education sessions. She helped deliver nearly 4,200 new members in six months, the highest gain in over a decade, turned a $30K digital investment into $927K, and co-led Design & Construction Week alongside the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS) for 100K+ combined attendees.

As Vice President of Marketing at Leading Authorities, Inc., a speaker talent agency, Emmy Award-winning video studio, and live event producer, she led the marketing strategy that drove $7M+ in revenue, grew the sales pipeline 56%, and built the company's first event-to-revenue tracking system. She directed 35+ annual events, including invite-only C-suite dinners, co-branded conferences, and executive programs throughout the U.S. and London, and grew the marketing team from 3 to 8.

Her event career started on the show floor, in exhibitor services at Freeman and tradeshow sales at the American Society of Travel Advisors (ASTA). That ground-level view of operations, vendors, and logistics still shapes how she approaches every event.

She has owned P&L accountability, built and scaled high-performing teams, and presented strategy and budget recommendations to boards, CFOs, and C-suite leadership. Today, she brings that same level of thinking, plus a lot of laughter, to every client and event she touches.
